The Doula Group is so excited to have Birth and Parenthood photographer, Cobi Sharpe, on board. When you read Cobi's "About Me" (taken from her website and posted below) you will be just as intrigued as we were. We can't imagine any scenario that is not going to be enhanced by having Cobi present to document and bear witness to your journey. In fact, we believe that printed photo journals will be the basis of family histories in the decades to come. Digital documentation has changed the face of our family stories. From a geneological perspective, we need what Cobi has to offer.
I’m Cobi and I am a spirited – and professional – Birth & Motherhood Photographer. I gave birth to my first babe in July 2018. Her name is Severn Fawn, named after the river that flows into Hudson Bay. I wear her, cloth diaper her and kiss her a gazillion times a day!
I live in Muskoka but travel as far south as Barrie/Inisfill and as far north as Parry Sound/Huntsville.
I. love. plants. Especially cacti and succulents.
I love camping and my ideal vacation would be spending a week canoe tripping through Ontario’s wilderness. I love the smell of rain, the sound of leaves blowing in the wind, a windswept white pine and the sun shining on my face.
I pine for the outdoors, hiking or snowshoeing. I can watch canoe trips on YouTube for HOURS.
I love nature books and you can find me swaying in my hammock on a backcountry campsite reading an R.D. Lawrence book. My favourite campsite is one covered with red pines.
I have never owned a microwave. And I have a collection of over 400 vinyl records. Oh yeah, and I lived in the Yukon for a while which inspired my photography career. I used to photograph a lot of landscape, wildlife and nature.
