Bring a shitload of food. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks. Healthy foods. Drinks. Birth Day cake. Bring everything. Feed yourselves, feed the OB staff. Make food part of your celebration.

You and your partner need to be your own best advocates for the sake of both the birthing parent and the new baby. Know your options. Understand informed consent and informed refusal. Don't be afraid to take time with decisions that are not urgent.
6. Bring Comfy Pillows and Blankets.
Yes, you will have to have a garbage bag in the car and wash the linen when you get home but we promise, the comforts of home will be very welcome and maybe it will even fit with your theme (see number 1).
