Understanding Our Packages
CREATING JOYFUL CHILDBIRTH MEMORIES
-
Our introductory consultation is recommended before deciding upon a Doula. This visit is in a public venue; a simple chat over coffee.
-
Prenatal visits are usually in your home, or a mutually agreed on meeting place, to discuss your preferences and build a relationship. These visits should supplement your education and assist with decision making and information gathering. They last 2-3 hours each.
-
24/7 On-call Labour Support from your Doula available in person or through phone, text and email for three weeks before and two weeks after your estimated due date.
-
Back-up birth support by the secondary Doula, if needed.
-
Attendance at your birth by expert, reliable and compassionate birth support employing a wide array of non-pharmacological pain management and comfort measures.
-
Postpartum Check-In - Your Doula will come to your home to help you as you transition into parenthood. You will get unbiased support, helpful information, access to local resources or simply the opportunity to review your birth and ask questions. We are available for six weeks following your birth via phone, text or email, giving you access to practical information, community resources and encouragement. These visits last about an hour.
-
Postpartum Care & Support Services are done in your home by qualified, professional Postpartum Doulas.
-
Online Client Resources Database is open to all TDG Clients. Personal referrals from your Doula to other healthcare professionals and service providers are available.

Doula Service Fees

There may be a variance in fees between our individual Doulas which generally reflects experience, travel and location of birth place.
Gift Certificates and payment plans are available.

We strongly believe there should be a Doula for every woman who wants one. For those with special financial circumstances, we partner with many service organizations who can assist in the process of making low-cost or reduced-fee services available. Please inquire through Shannon Graham, TDG Coordinator.
